Why?

The course aims to address low levels of financial literacy, increase financial inclusion of youth, and to help youth to achieve their dreams!

How?

Y-Bank will use an experiential learning pedagogy to explore the monetary systems, financial services providers, the role of the regulator, and how financial tools can be used to resolve development challenges to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. This learning by doing financial education program allows students to learn by active exploration of the existing financial markets, products and services, and their collective gaps. Experiential learning has historically been used to teach complex skills sets to professionals such as surgeons, pilots, and also been recently used with law students. However, few financial education and capacity building programs have utilized experiential learning, despite its demonstrable benefits in achieving skills mastery and knowledge retention, as compared to other pedagogies.

How much does it cost?

The course is free and there will be no charge for the students.
